Taylor's room

We are just about done with Taylor's room! We hung her name on the wall and decorated some more! I loved these little bunnies I bought them right when I was first pregnant. Tahoe broke one of the toes off the bunny but its the mean looking one so I didnt care as much.

Opps I just realized I didnt put all the bows on the letters ....but heres an idea of what it looks like over her dresser/changing table

This is my favorite!!! Its our dulatier glider and its sooo comfortable. We have it in the living room for now since I figure I'd rather be out there more often than not and the tv is there too. We have been training the puppies not to jump on me in that chair...its my one space in the house. Thank you to my parents and aunts!
The Glider will eventually go in this corner and we ordered a green rug thats on its way now.

I loved these birds from PB Kids....and I'll hang her baptism dress and some other things on these hooks.
Here it is!!! The almighty Orbit stroller/travel system. It looks like a baby spacecraft but I think we will enjoy it. Some people have asked to see it so I thought I'd take a pic.

So her room is pretty much finished...bags are packed. We will be 38 weeks this week so I'm getting very anxious. I go to the doctor tomorrow but they wont check me for progress until next week if I'm still pregnant. I have no idea when this baby is coming. It is the strangest feeling to not know when. It could be tonight since I've been having lots of cramping and contractions. But I could have these pre-labor pains for another two-three weeks( more than likely she will stick it out closer to the end). We have another hurricane headed our way. Gustav looks like a big one- so I'm getting excited about that. ( I know I"m strange) But for now I'm trying to finish up projects and things to keep me busy. My sweet husband has been helping me stay busy and taking me for short walks around the neighborhood to keep things moving along. I think we're both just ready. We will keep you posted!

Baby shower 8.17.08

My sweet friends Chrissy, Bridgette, Brieanne, Kim and Jill and their husbands threw me a baby shower last week. They are good friends from a bible study group we are in from Church. The place was gorgeous and the food delicious! Plus, it was co-ed so Mark got to be in on opening all the baby gifts and he did a great job! It was a blast - we are so thankful to have great friends who are thrilled about Taylor Grace's arrival!

Kim and Chrissy

One of the gifts was a daddy diaper duty tool belt equipped with goggles, gloves, tongs for the dirty diaper, a surgical mask and all the creams and things that go along with diapering. It was hilarious and funny that those are things mark uses everyday at work so he should be comfortable wearing it! Thanks Charles and Brie

Now my daughter has an expensive outfit from France before I do....how did that happen?

Wow, ignore me in that picture please...Raleigh and Tahoe gave Taylor a present and suprise....it just happened to be two dog bones!

Yeah I'm updating!!!!

I think this picture is from about 35-36 weeks. I never put it up there but I havent measured too much bigger since I took this one. Now the doctor says that Taylor has dropped so I might be a little lower now. If she arrives soon we are guessing somewhere between 6.5lbs and 7lbs....of course no one knows for sure. Thats just my guess.

37 WEEKS!!!!

Well, we're full term now! I am so ready to meet Taylor! We went to the doctor today and it looks like she's dropped, in position, and ready to go. Now we'll just play the waiting game some more until she's ready to arrive. I was kind of thinking she might choose to come during this Tropical Storm that is currently stalled over the entire state of Florida...and has been for days. But I think she's going to hang on at least another week. We've got most everything ready for her to come home. I"ll be hanging pictures of her finished nursery as soon as we get the rest of the decorations on the wall. We've put the carseat in, packed our bags, and are working on our "before we bring the baby home" checklist. I guess it could be any time...or it could be more than three weeks. Only God and Taylor know when, until then we'll be trying to be patient and visiting with friends to keep ourselves occupied. Some of our good friends in town threw us a baby shower last weekend and we'll post some pics from that soon too!

Nantucket at 33 weeks!!!!

My Parents and I went to Nantucket Island and Maine last week. We had a fabulous time! Natucket is a gorgeous island-very quaint and relaxing. We spent 5 nights there and then headed on to Maine for the next 4 nights.

These are just a few pics...Mark took some much better ones and I"ll let him post those tomorrow. But here we are weeks 32-33!!!! Our last hurrah trip to the Northeast! We're getting so excited that we'll get to meet our Taylor Grace soon!

Pink and Lime

The first pics of her room: we aren't finished yet

I couldnt get Tahoe out of the way....so goes life around the Ellis house.

I love love love this monogram!! Callie's mom, Ann, worked on this part! Callie's a good friend to know with a talented family.

Here are some of our first pictures from Taylor's room. Mark finished painting last week. Of course there are pink paw prints all over the house since the dogs really like to "help" daddy when he is working. Taylor's bedding came in today!!!! Callie's grandmother, Mary, did a fabulous job! She is a sweet lady with a serious talent. It looks like a professional made it! I am so thrilled- and the lime, believe it or not tones down all the pink in the room.

I know I know I'll post new pics soon!

I know I havent posted anything new on here in a while. This week Taylor's bedding will be in and I'll get some new pics of the nursery. We finally finished painting the walls...well my sweet husband really did almost all of it. Most of the furniture is in the room so I'll get some cute pics to share by the end of this week....what else is new on the baby front? Oh yes I went to my hospital tour today. Its really happening now! Winnie Palmer Hospital is so nice! Its like a resort inside I was ready to check in and spend the night! They have wood-floor rooms, bathtubs, satin sheets, gourmet meals, massages, robes and slippers! I'm looking forward to that stay for sure! I think thats it for now- I've just been nesting, throwing away old things and cleaning up to get ready. In two weeks we leave to go to Nantucket! Stay tuned for more pics of the nursery, I guess I could throw in a belly shot or two as well!
